Default Summit off road H pipe

I just installed a off road h pipe on my car and the instructions say something about installing O2 eliminators. Eventhough i installed the oxygen sensors into the new h pipe do I still need to disable them? I have a diablo programmer also

The performance tune on your predator should already have them turned off

You have two sets of Oxygen sensors in the stock exhaust system. front ones before the Catylitic Converters, and then down bank ones after the cats.

They are there to make sure that the Catylitic Converters are working correctly, in that they are burning all of the excess fuel coming out of the combustion chambers. When you eliminate the cats, you need to tell the computer that the rear oxygen sensors don't exist

There are two ways of doing this. MIL eliminators, which are little connectors with a resistor in them to trick the computer, and then you can also turn the sensors/heater/OBDII Test off in the computer itself.

The summit H pipe comes with two sets of bungs welded in for oxygen sensors. The front ones, use the ones that you have in the car.

The other bung is there if you ever decide to add a Wideband Oxygen sensor system to the car, that way, you don't have to cut and weld in bungs yourself. You can just go down to your local hardware store and get a couple drain plugs to plug the wholes up. They are usually classified as drain plugs, I'm not sure what size they are, sorry

One more question I already put my old o2 sensors in the h pipe, will that be ok if I leave em installed and turn em off on the programmer? Or do i need to take em out and turn em off on the programmer?

You can't subject the O2 sensors to that heat with them turned off, or you will damage them. That's why I said to get a couple drain plugs (they were only like 1.00 each)

Ok, on my programmer all i could turn off was OBD-II MIL and OBD-II TEST. This is out of the manual for the predator. (To Set OBD-II setting for no rear 02’s -Turn all of the following parameters to “OFF” position: OBD-II MIL / OBD-II Test Heater bank 1 downstream / Heater bank 2 downstream O2 Sensor Config.
O2 Config = Turn this off for no rear O2 sensors, this tells PCM that no rear O2 sensors exist, the heater 1 and 2 have to be turned off as well
). I did not see anything to turn off O2 config or heater banks, am i missing something?
