Default HIGHLY Recommend MGW Shifters!

My MGW shifter came today and took me about an hour to install. MGW has their shat together, I’ll tell you that! The thing arrived promptly; the instructions provided were on the mark and included a checklist (I’ve ordered/received parts before that were missing screws, etc – VERY frustrating when you have your shat all tore apart to find out you are missing a GD washer); they included a tube of RVT sealant, and best of all the shifter is awesome! EXTREMELY short throws compared to stock with the gates very close together, but I like it. From what I’ve heard, it will take about a month for it to really break in. I’m stoked – ordered the blue sport handle, but might order a red cruising handle as well…

Where did you order your shifter? I'm looking at the MGW also. I'm hearing the noise is less than the Steeda... true? yes? maybe?

I keep hearing good things about it, and everyone says how short the shifts are, but does anyone have any dimensions on it?

I'd like to see someone measure how far the **** moves from 1st to 2nd, and 1st to 5th, then get a measurement on how far the reference point on the **** is from the mounting base. If we could get this for all the popular shifters we could get an idea of which one really has the shortest throws, or if there is any difference at all...

Yeah, I measured and took pics. This is with the Red Cruiser handle, the blue would be even shorter. Pics show the length of the throw between 1st and 2nd.

RE: the steeda handle. Mine doesn't make any noise what so ever. It's still a decent shifter. A buddy of mine has the less expensive Mustang Tuning one. I'm gonna try it out and i'll make sure to post a message about it.
