Exclamation Help: Whistling from throttle body? And steering.

I have a 96 GT and for the past few days it began with a sudden whistling from under the hood. It started out from the intake filter. After removing that it was obviously coming out of the throttle body...I pushed the gas a little and it became louder to the point of it being half throttle then no more whistling.
At the same time (maybe coincidence) my steering has been feeling like there are air in the lines. (This is my best description)
I can't find anything that would be loose or disconnected.

Any Ideas? Thanks.

-PI intake manifold (1.5 years)
-k&n cai (4 < years)

my car has the same whistling from under the hood. its not real loud but loud enough to hear when driving,i never worried about it cause it started doing it when i did the pi intake swap, aftermarket tb and plenum. car runs great and sounds kinda cool so i figured it was just from the new mods?

hmmm that sound is the same you will get from installing an aftermarket TB/Plenum, CAI etc. OR from a vacuum leak. Though, im not sure where to tell you to look for the leak...Sorry :-/

I had the same issue on my 96 gt. Its a hissing /whistle right? On the underside of the throtle body there is an air bleed screw that can sometimes work out of it's threads. If yours fell out take a look on top of your intake thats where I found mine.

Werd. I'll check that out. Yes, that's what it sounds like. Thanks for the posts.

I can prob get a pic if you dont see what im talking about. Take the throttle body off and you will see it clear as day. Ford wasnt even able to find the hissing when Itook the car to the dealer.
