Default How do you remove the middle dash?

http://mr2.com/kb/Image/Image/Mk%20I...20dash%201.jpg

I'm trying to remove the middle armrest compartment. I got a wire stuck underneath the whole thing when I tucked a wire behind it under the plastic.

It's completely stuck now..

How would one remove that part of the car's dash?
