Question H&R Springs

I am wanting to lower my car so bad one thing is stopping me! I have been reading in some other forums that the ride sucks, which i do not want to happen. Is this true if you lower the car? I do not want it to feel like a lumbar wagon but would love to have that stealthy look!!

most lowering springs have higher spring rates so yes the ride would be more harsh. You can cut stock springs if you want the lowered look without sacrificing too much ride comfort but you won't get the performance from lowering springs.

i have h&r super sports and the ride is fine....i used to daily drive a turbo honda with a full drag coilover set-up on it so anything that rides slightly better than a kids wagon is like a cadillac to me!

When I bought my car, the stock springs were already cut. The ride was terrible. God awful. Then I just installed the Eibach Pro Set and they are AWESOME!! Much better ride quality as far as smoothness, cornering, ride height. Don't cut the stock springs. You won't like it. The only difference between the H&R's and Eibach is H&R dropped my car another 1/4 in the front and I didn't want to go too low. Speed Bumps and crappy roads in Washington made this decision.
