Default Tubular k-member...yay or nay

So I will be swapping my built shortblock in soon, and am wondering if I should switch over to a tubular k member while the motor is out. I'm sure it will be a lot easier with the motor out of the car, but is it really that beneficial? How hard is it to install with the motor out of the car/how long should it take?

Motor out?? Its cake, because you obviously wont have to hang the motor to install it...

You going to toss in LTs while you are at it? You might as well

With a tubed K you can bolt on the tranny and longtubes before dropping the engine in the car.

You can do the same with the stock k member... or at least I did with my brothers 96 Cobra.

On that note, would I be better off leaving the tranny in the car or taking it out? I will be installing a new clutch as well.

Take it out. I never pull the engine without the tranny still on it. Taking the tranny off before pulling it adds about 1-2 hours depending on how good you are.

definitely throw the tubular k on there and if you have the money swap on some coilovers to go with it. I just swapped one into my car last week and its not much trouble with the engine in the car so it should take half the time with it out of the car. I got spring perches on mine and it sits a little higher now and I'm still trying to figure that one out.
