Default Fox body shocks on a 99+ GT

I've hurd many people say that they have Fox body shocks and struts on their 99+ GT. Are there any mods needed to make them fit, or is it a direct bolt on. Does it lower your car? How well does it handle? I would think the that aftermarket shocks would work if oem ones do?

They will NOT lower your car. If you put lowering springs on your car, the Fox body shocks are an inexpensive alternative to aftermarket shocks.

I put Monroe Sensatrac fox body shocks on with my Eibach pro kit. With that combination, I get crazy good traction. I can barely spin my tires at all anymore. It just grips right at the start and I take off like a rocket.

They are shorter...so they are good for lowering applications.

Nope, they are longer, therefor having more travel.

Are you serious? I have talked to a lot of people and never heard that....

Not sure about the struts. But, the reason the Fox shocks are better for a lowered car is that the stockers (being shorter) have very little travel, therefor shortening the life. With the longer shocks (Fox body), there is more travel allowing the shocks to work as designed and also allowing better weight transfer for launches.
