If the gear numbers are off a bit or what not sorry. I'm not real sure on them. But here's my question(s). They apply to an auto and manual. I know you can't give me a realistic exact number, just a rough comparison. Thanks.

Manual 3:55 gears get 26mpg stock.

What mpg would it get with 3:73?

What mpg would it get with 4:10?




Auto 3:37 gears get 24mph stock.

ok what i have noticed with my manual 98 gt is that in town my car has risen 3-4 MPGs in town driving and has dropped 1-2 mpgs on highway. So it equals out nicely. First gear is short but damn the rest of the gears damn well make up for it.

I get anywhere from 19-24MPG in town with a 02 GT 5 speed. 17-18MPG when I drive her hard.

i shouldn't have read this thread........... now im gonna end up getting 4.10s probably think 4.30 is too much for my daily driver

there on my daily driver and there not much different then stock. You have to shift more but oh well. THe gears made me not hate my car anymore because of the nice SOTP feel.

exactly, plus now you can beat non-geared 99+'s.

hell yeah and i just drove in the ran with them and not one single problem you just gotta know how to drive.
