Default tinted lights

I'm looking at buying smoked tailight and headlight tint. This would include the brake light, side markers, and fogs as well.

So my questions are as follows: Have any of you been hassled for this...especially the headlights? How well would the stock headlight bulbs do with the smoked tint? Did any of you not like the new look, and wanted to go back to stock or a different shade?

I'm looking at the ones from Stangmods. Anyone using them? Are there better or cheaper ones out there?

Thanks!

no issues with mine. I bought a roll, priced per foot, available in different widths, from a guy on ebay. Worked well. Less than 20$ for enough to do the tails, 3rd brake, side markers, with a bunch leftover and some wasted on me screwing up lol.

I never had problems. With the headlight tinted and with HID's on dark roads visabilty is not all that great.

Is it smoked or blackout? I'm looking for smoked only. If there is enough left over, would you want to sell?

You can buy spray tint at autozone and do the rear lights it looks good. I did the rear lights on mine with just flat black spray paint. If you go that route do a light coat on them try to get it as even as possible.

headlamp tints are not recommended on our cars, I've done a projector retrofit with mine and I can see a definite difference in before and after tint. It looks great in the day but at night with stock bulbs you'd be hard pressed to see anything. I don't even think hid's would help much with smoked bulbs as our stock headlamps have a hard time focusing the light.
