Default Do I have stock gears?

I have a 2001 Mustang GT with a 5 speed manual. At 70mph, i am just a hair over 2000rpm - Maybe 2050.... Does this sound about right for factory gearing? Thanks!

Yeah my guess is there stock 3:27 or could be 3:55 what size are your wheels and tires?

That will make a differents alittle in gear ratio

My 4:10's are 2500rpm at 68mph with 17" Cobra r wheels and 275-40-17 tires

My car has the factory 17" chrome i think 5 star wheels. They kinda look like the cobra wheels, but they are for the GT's... Im sure the tires are the factory size

Mine runs 2200RPM at 70MPH. I was told that it has 3.55 gears and all the gear calculators say the same.

Id say you have 3:55

If you really want to find out.
Jack up the back of the car so both wheels are off ground in nutral.
Make a mark on drive shaft with some tape( or mark one of the U joint caps)
Make a tape mark one tire( on any side)
Spin the wheel one full revolution wacthing how many times the drive shaft spins to one revolution of tire.

So if drive spins 4 times and a little bit more you would have 4:10s
3:55 would be 3 full revolution of drive shaft and a 1\2 turn to one full revolution of tire.

Easiest way to get your gears without pulling cover off.

Hope that helped you or anyone else trying to figure what gears they have.

Good luck
