I agree. I like some I have seen but it must be tasteful, which usually means a minor contrast in color IMO. I would have gone with more of a medium silver in the SS, its too bright which makes it look cheap. He didnt really go overboard, so that is ok, but I would have toned it down a bit with the color.

the trim around the gauge cluster is painted too, but the piece that surounds the gauges inside the plastic window is not painted.

and doobs........ my seats aren't red. they are seat covers that are supposed to be black. after a few months the sun starts to bleach it i guess, making it look red. Kinda funny though, my little sister who is 9 years old always asks me why i have red seats and i have to tell her, they aren't it just looks red, if it were cloudy outside they would look black. Also i have a pair of fuzzy cuffs hanging from the rear view mirror that had black fur on them, they too have been sun bleached to a dark red like the seat covers

also, i thought about doing it white or silver, but my blue is hard enough to keep clean, so i don't know about white.
