Default Intake plenum and T/B

I was looking around the internet at all the I/P's and T/B's and then I came across a webstie that was saying you can port your stock t/b and i/p and give it almost as much power as buying a t/b and i/p kit that cost $300. Is there any truth to that? I am willing to take apart my intake and t/b and make them both more free flowing but is there something im missing and could lead to me destroying the car? Anyone done this to their own? Comments?Facts? Thanks

Don't even mess with it. I have said more than a few times on here I timed my stock GT before and after adding a high flow TB Plenum combo and my car was without question not a bit faster and I even polished the inside of the plenum very nicely. The only reason in my opinion to add a high flow set up is possibly for power added cars or for the look. The accufab looks Hot but did not make my car faster.

I am bringing my car to get tuned tomorrow. My car stock went 14.6 - 14.7 . I did put my car on a dyno just to check it out to see what the air fuel ratio was after I added the supercharger. It was incredibly lean and was like 330 Hp but am expecting betwween 375 and 400. Hope it gets there.

I think that if my car was dynoed and tuned before and after the TB/plenum there may have been a difference. When I added the supercharger it was huge and I haven't even felt the majority of the power yet. I can't wait!
