Ok guys, about a year and a half ago I did a PI swap on my old 98GT. Got it together fired up ran like **** but I forgot thats expected till I get it tuned. Well i went back and changed the timing to different mark on the crank gears, didnt rotate the motor by hand first and whacked my pistons into the vavles on the driverside when I cranked it over. Snaped 3 vavles, bent 3 others, snaped a few cam followers. If I take the valves, springs, all that out, whats the likleyness of just the bare heads being good. And also the cams, could they have bent at all?

When did you get a fox?

I would imagine that the bare heads themselves are still good.

Price of aluminum is down so they arn't worth much at the scrap yard. More then likely those heads need new seats, guides, springs along with valves and followers. I would give you $25 for them at the most.

Yea thats what I figured, thanks guys.

72Machone99GT...sold the old 98 last april 2008 and got the fox about a month later. I was always partial to the style of the foxbodys and the pushrod motor.

They're saveable. Bring them to a machine shop, get an est. I know they're fixable, but it culd be expensive
