but how is that possible? the tuner comes with basic 87/91/93 octane tune, MAF and a few other things. i got the tuner on ebay. but the guy who sold it to me works in a mustang shop, those in NY probably heard of mustang magic. plus he has a good feedback. is there a way to tune my car and not pay 500 for dyno tune?

How can there be a tune on it already for your car when it needs to know which ECM you have. There is a code number on the front of your ECM and that has to be programmed into it first. When I purchased my x-cal, I had to give them that code in order for them to install a tune. I used that tune to drive my car up the road from me to get a custom dyno tune. You have no tune which means you have to data log your own tune or have it dyno tuned by a speed shop.

When I got my car dyno tune we ran into a problem getting it to tune properly. When he erased the brenspeed tune and re programmed it to use his tune, he accidently programmed in the wrong ECM code. It was off by 1 number. That made it think my car was something else and it was screwing my A/F ratio up. If the code on my ECM was " WH190T " and you tried installing my tune on your car and your ECM code was " WH195T ", your car would either not run or run like ****.
If whoever sold you the tuner didn't ask you for that code, then you have no tune.
