Mustang 2001 GT Muffler Magnaflow which?
Hi, I just got a 2001 Mustang GT and I want to change the mufflers, Everything is stock. I only want mufflers with tips since it will be cheaper than getting an entire exhaust. I want to get Magnaflows but I dont know what would be good. Also would I need a resonator? Thanks

Dude, just spend the money and get the whole cat-back exhaust.
You get most of your hp from the bigger tubing anyway...not the mufflers. Magnaflow is a good exahaust.....check out Flowmaster and Borla also.

I was thinking of doing that but If I do the whole thing it would cost me about 500-600 dollars where only the muffler would keep me under 300 Is that true? And if I did only get the Magnaflow mufflers which one would you suggest? Thanks

Just spend the money to get the full catback.. get SLP Loudmouths.. you won't be sorry.. I got it and I can't get enough of it.. its aggressive and sounds awesome.. I get so many head turns .. trust me you won't be sorry..

^ I'm with him. I have a magnapack system from Nino and love it. I like it better then the SLP systems that are out, but I personal feeling towards SLP.

I got my magnaflow from www.completeexhaust.com for $319 plus shipping. You would have to call the # on the site and ask them for the forum sale price.

Hi, Thanks for all the posts. The Magnaflow exhaust that you got for $319 is that the one that one their site is 459? Please let me know because thats a pretty good price, Also is it loud? or too loud? or how is the sound on the one you bought for 319. Thanks

Yeah, they list it on the site for 459 or whatever, but if you call Joe at the # they should give you the "sale" price. I got the Magnaflow, not magnapacks. They are a little quieter. They liven up when you get on the throttle but when I am cruising in 5th gear on the highway, they are nice and soft.
