Road Race Suspension at the 1/4 Track??
Just Curious... With 400lb Coilovers made for Road racing what happens if i Decide to go to the Drag Strip? Will their be any weight Transfer? or will it be almost useless..... This will be on a ~500whp car!!

Alot of the guys down here like to hit up the Autox Events so thats what im building my suspension around... I want to find a Way to have the best of both Worlds... I would like to cut some good times at the 1/4. But also hang with the other cars around the Track/Auto x...
How Far off will the 60ft's be Between the different Coil over suspensions:
All out Road Race
Average Spring Rates(mixed)
Drag setup

honestly dude, you have to either have one or the other. road race suspensions will yeild no weight transfer resulting in horrible 60's, if not worse than stock. my advice is pick one or the other and stick with it.

yeah, my 1.7 60' on 600lb springs and street tires shows that those road race suspensions are sh*T
Trust me, at 500+rwhp, you won't be ****ting yourself on launch, but it's not going to kill you.
it'll take a little bit of adjustment, but you can easily get pretty good short times, and hook up pretty well.
The most important part of your suspension is the tires, just because you won't weight transfer, it's not like you're going to transfer weight onto the front of the car, and off the drive wheels.
Even with minimal weight transfer (you still get some with 400+lb springs), you're still transfering SOME weight onto the rear tires, so it's not going to do much damage.
Z06's have a road race oriented suspension, and on stock suspension they run bottom 11's and high 10's on street tires.
