Angry New struts

I am having a very hard time installing new struts I bought on my 96 gt. I got the back shocks installed. But the front are giving me tons of trouble. I have followed all the steps and gotten all the bolts and nuts loosened. The problem I am having is getting one of the bolts out that holds the steering knuckle to the strut. I got the nut off. Its the upper one of the two bolts. It seems like the bolt is to big for the hole or something. I can not get it out for the life of me. Its a used car and I dont know what the previous owner did, but he had to get it in there somehow. I just cant get the dang thing out!! If anyone can help or has had a similar problem please help! I dont wanna pay for the labor to have a shop do it. Thank you! anything is appreciated!

jack the arm up to relieve some pressure. that should allow you to get the bolt out

if all else fails pry bars, sledge hammers, high speed cutters and torches work wonders!
