Hello,

I am fairly new to these forums....having lurked awhile until I came across a problem that I cannot find or fix. Nice to see all the amazing support older Mustangs still have.

Basically, my right rear tire makes a squeaking noise when it is rolling free. When I am on the gas hard or braking at all, the noise goes away. It is not the sound of old brake pads as they are brand new and the sound is different then a squealing pad. Other info I have read suggests rotors....at 55000 miles is this realistic? Thanks

Yeah Bro you could try turning the rotors. Did you lube the slids on the on the calipers.

negative...didnt lube the slides. Do you have to get specific lubricant for those slides?

they sell grease just for that it comes in little packets
i had the same problem because i forgot to grease them

it should solve you squeak

Dielectric grease is the same thing.
