00 GT Keeps Dieing
I HAVE A 00 GT. EVERYTIME I START THE CAR IT TURNS ON THEN DIES. IF I GIVE IT GAS IT WILL STAY ON BUT AS SOON AS I LET GO OF THE GAS IT DIES. IT WILL DO THIS UNTIL IT BACK FIRES.THE MUFFLERS SOUND LIKE IT'S DROWNING I'VE CHANGED THE GAS FILTER AND PUT B-12. .DON'T NO WHAT ELSE TO DO.

I'd say your pump is dying like Owned said, or your relay is bad...</P>
Sound's like your pump primes but then quits..</P>
But you said it backfires...could be something to do with your ignition system then..</P><edited><editID>Dan02GT</editID><editDate>37938.0193402778</editDate></edited>

All wrong, the problem was what he just replaced, the IAC control valve, I had the same problem, now the car is pristine.</P>

And if you look at the post times, I had responded before he edited his post with the problem, which everyone knows you don't look at post times and dates...</P>
I feel stupid for not mentioning the IAC, it's a pretty big problem these Fords have too..</P>
