Default Who is running Bassani cattedX >?

I just purchassed a Bassani cattedX mid-pipe.

Has anyone installed it to the original exaust manafolds and mufflers (just the mid pipe change out)?

I think Bassani says it will fit but if someone here has doen it...then it would prove it out to me.

Thanks,

PS I wonder how it will sound and perfrom with original system before and aft......

Catted or not they will go in the same way. I worked on mine in my GT several times and the best thing to do is get a lot of WD40 and spray the connecting studs and nuts that holds the midpipe to the exhaust manifold. They will be a biatch to get off. But if you have several 3/8" extensions then you should break them pretty easy. The catback to midpipe bolts are usually very easy to get off. They will probably be hand loose already. LOL

oh and the nice guys over at Bassani that I just talked with said no problem its modular. Modular means seperate cats and off road tube replacements and adjustable lenght. Since I live in New Hampshire (no emissions testing requried) I should put in the off road tubes and save the cats for later hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I had mine installed at a shop, but watched every second of it. It was pretty much plug and play. Unbolted, removed and replaced o2 sensors, bolted new one in. Took all of 20 minutes.

You will need to buy a set of Mil eliminators. With an off road pipe, the O2 sensors will trip the emissions and turn the MIL light on. All you do is take out the O2 sensors and screw the MILs in and plug the recepticle into its respective spot on the witing harness. Its really simple.

I hear that you get more HP with Bassani's Cated X that you do with the Off road X because the Cat are High flow and still give that little bit of back pressure that is needed....i think i heard that...but my butt may be talking for me again...
