Finished the install of the engine back into the 98 Cobra, everything connected except this one plug.

This is on the drivers side front of engine compartment on a 98 Cobra.

Runs great though and the new cams sound sick

This may not help too much as I don't know what it connects to, but if you take that clip on the wire in the middle there, the christmas tree one, and stick it in that whole there under the power steering rez, it will shorten the wire which will narrow down where it gets plugged into. Other than that, I have no idea, sorry.

Pull your battery out, then follow the ground back until it starts to tail off and youll find what your looking for. The other end has one of those white clips near the plug end and snaps on pretty much right below the battery tray.

I ran into one of those wires before. My BMW had an option for an electric thermostat which my car didn't have. And that wire was for it.

So if you dig your battery out and don't find a connection within range of the wire length, don't worry too much about it. They don't exactly fall off by themselves.

I am sure a mechanic at a ford dealership would be able to tell you without any issues though.

There are no plugs under the battery. There are plugs on the side of the battery closest to the firewall and plugs under the fuse box.

Looks like a two wire connector, what are the color of the wires? Could this be it, circled in red below?
