Threw a rod..Maybe. Help!
Yesterday afternoon I was driving down a rural highway when it started to rain heavily. In front of me was washed out piece of the highway, it was slanted and the deepest part of the water was beginning to puddle in the opposite lane. I was skeptical to go through it when the neon in front of my plowed through with no problems I decided it was safe. Being more cautious in my mustang I slowly idled my way through it trying not to get the filter on my cold air intake wet. I was having no problems when an impatient big rig decided to go plowing past me. The wakes this truck made came higher than my missing side scoops(that were just stolen). My car died immediately. After I pushed myself out of the water I let my car dry for about an hour before trying to start it. An hour later it would not turn over…I assumed my air filter was wet and it would be about another hour or so to where it would dry off enough to get good air flow. I was right I tried starting my car and after a a few turns it started AND THEN IT HAPPENED! I heared what it sounds like to hear a garbage disposal with silverware in it. My first thought was it D@MN I THREW A ROD!…but I’m not leaking any oil. Could it still be a rod? Or could I have thrown a bearing?…. anybody got any ideas?

You're lucky if it's only bent and didn't take the block out with it. If you hydrolocked the engine, the rod is the weakest part for sure, so that's what gives. Start tearing it apart, you have a good excuse now
