Can't stand it!!!!!
For months now, I have been trying to figure out the ever present mystery amongst 99-04 mustang owners.
The squeak that occurs in the back of my car when going over an incline quickly, or going over a small bump slowly... anything that causes the rear end to raise up ever so slightly causes a squeaking noise that is both embarrassing, and annoying, especially when you have unloaded an entire $10 can of WD-40 on every rubber mount you can find underneath the rear of the car.
I have lubricated EVERYTHING. EVERY THING that has a rubber to metal connection, and I am starting to think that this noise MUST be from the shock itself... has ANYONE the slightest clue as to what this god d*mn noise is?!?!

If you lubricated every thing back there and are still hearing the squeaking sounds, I would replace the shocks. Sounds like you are hearing the sounds when the shocks are in the compression mode which is when ever you go over a bump. Good luck, Tommy.
