you said you dont know that much about cars? this build can only been done for 10k if you do all the work, buys used parts when you can, and get good deals on stuff...its definately possible, but a shop would charge you 10k in just labor to make this happen, so if you dont plan to do your own work, i would step away right now

even if you have no prior experience, you can definitely tackle this yourself with the right information and the right tools. i built my first circle track engine when i was 15 years old.. i bought a couple books on engine building, found an old junker chevy 305 from a mid-80s metric frame car, and used it as a "practice" engine (probably tore it down and rebuilt it 4 or 5 times just to get familiar with everything). once i felt comfortable with the process, i built my real race engine and ran it an entire season with no mechanical issues at all. if you don't feel comfortable doing this, you can probably find a machine shop that will assemble the engine after they do the machine work for a pretty decent price.

When i thought this couldnt be done for under 10k, I thought you were going for all out race car. Im sure it can Easily be done for what you want to do with it. Good Luck with your Build!!

Most likely get more help on the motor build in the 351 section like stated above!
