Lightbulb ding ding ding noise

Has anyone disabled the annoying "ding"ing noise our mustangs make when you leave the keys in the ignition and have the door open? Any ideas how to? Thanks.

Door chime and belt minder to be specific. There is a way to disable the beltminder without the scan tool. Check the owners manual. May also be able to disable the door chime. Or you could just ask a buddy at Ford to hook it up for ya, I would if you were close to me

I had a Ford ranger with the most ANNOYING chime you had ever heard. I found the little dinger and I clipped the wires going to it. No more issue.

Here's a link to the '03 shop manual R&R procedure for the key-in switch--just do the first "R" and put it back together to disable the bing.

You need to pull the steering column surround to get at the release button hole--this was just about mod #1 for me...

If i remember the belt minder is in the belt airbag section I think its turn the key on and off 8 times the last time the belt light will flash plug the belt in and take it out. Turn the key off again then turn it back on the light should be steady, and no noise.

Make sense
Turning the key off/on 8 times puts car in program mode.
Have to give this a try
