wuts the difference between lets say a 99 4.6 gt and a 99 cobra. does it have extra hp or performance? thank you

yes, the cobra is faster and handles better, The cobra has a DOHC engine and GT has SOHC, the cobra also has an IRS and the GT has a solid axle

About Two Tenths of a second in the quarter mile. Yeah also the IRS, and its a DOHC motor. If you are debating on which one, think about the cobra due to the motor being setup for alot more power....

I dont think those times are all right. My brother has a 97 GTP and ran a 14.43 w/ just a colder thermostat. That says 15.00. Hmmmm.....?

donmt get a 99 its the worst year for the cobra i would save up for a little bit longer and look for a low mileage 01 cobra. or if you like the previous body style the 98 is the bvest and could be had ussually for under $10K

I just bought a 99 cobra. I dont think all those times are right on that webpage. Ive had the car for 2 weeks and its completely stock. It took two LS1 cars without much of a problem. I also ran a lightening and beat it by about a car. Ive always heard the 99 was the worst year for the cobra but I think its just a bunch of rumors and people complaining because the 03 cobra is much faster.

Auto and 5 Spd maybe? These test could have been at two different parts of the country on a great day and a crappy day. Maybe a better driver in the 99.I know that doesnt seem logical, but it thats what their test cars ran, then thats what they ran.
