How do I wire my fog light?

Hey guys, I have an 02 GT convertible and for some odd reason, I only have 1 operational fog light. The passenger side one just didn't have a pigtail connected to it when I purchased the car. So I went to the auto parts store and ordered the correct socket and now I need to know how to wire it. Can I just use some line taps and tap the power from the lines running to the other fog lamp? I want them both to come on at the same time when I hit the fog lamp button obviously, I just didn't know if it would overload something if I tapped power from the same line. Also, anyone have experience with the #885 50 watt bulb? Stock is 37.5 watt (#899).

Thanks!

so you are saying that there is no connector that you can plug the passanger side fog lamp?

Yeah, that's exactly what I'm saying. the foglight is there, there's just no wires or plug running to it

Ok I found a diagram, looks like factory setup is the same, tap power from one line for the other side. Anyone have luck stepping up the wattage to the brighter #885 bulbs?

Hmmm.. thats odd
are you sure its not hidden up in the bumper area? I know the bullets(which dont come with fogs) still have the wires going to the fog light area. They are hidden up in the bumper suport. They are clipped up in there to prevent them from falling back down and being visable.
I think every mustang comes with these wires.. i might be wrong though....:icon_shrug:

The OEM 889 lamp is 37.5W, the 885 is 50W; that is small enough an increase that I don't believe the plastic housings will not be able to deal with it.

The power circuit is good for 240W or so--I have been running a couple of 100W (each) Hella projectors for over 2 years, on the OEM relay and wiring with no problems...

I'll second that, i have (2) 55w bulbs on each side totalling 220w, no problems here.
