Stiff clutch

Well the clutch in your car is a cable clutch and if you are use to a hydraulic clutch... that will be a huge difference right off the bat. Plus you could also have an aftermarket clutch, which would also increase the pedal weight.

I think it's just an adjustment period for you. If you've never driven one before, the clutch is WAY different than your usual shifting experience. I learned stick on an old subaru. The first few months, there was quite a bit of rocking and jolting with the stang (this is after 10 yrs driving stick).

It's just a different beast when it comes to shifting.

Thanks. I kind of figured, but thought I would ask. I guess I was used to the clutch in my Speed3 which was smooth and easy.

Definitely then, I believe the SPEEDs use a hydraulic clutch and it's going to be a completely different feel. I drove my buddies MS6 the other day and it felt like the pedal wasn't even there.

It's a cable clutch, plain and simple. I learned on a Saturn SL2, after driving my mustang, I nearly kicked the clutch pedal through the floor pan. It has about a week long learning curve to get your leg adjusted to it.
