Even if the compressor was bad when the coil is energized the clutch will or should engage and click. Jumping the hi and low switch you should see if there is power getting to the coil on the compressor. The connector with two wires in it. If theres now power there then it's not an electrical problem.

so are you saying that if i jump the high and the low switches i can use a volt meter or something to check and see if there is power going to the compressor. so check the connector going to the compressor? or am i just misunderstanding you. I'm so confused right now, i just want my a/c back.

YES. With the car on and ac turned on you can jump the cutoff switches and check for power at the compressor coil connector. if you have power there then you know it's failed compressor part or actual low freeon. in you don'[ have power then you know its electrical
