N/A build 4.6s
hey whats up guys im currently in a 88lx but looking to move to a 98Gt that already has a PI swap and CMS stage 1 camshafts. just wondering if any of you have done N/A builds using after market lower intakes and suck, any really noticable gains or what...
if you guys got like an online article or somthing that'd be pretty sweet or dyno graphs or track times as well!

i have seen a "Youtube" vid of a gt that ran low 12's and the only internal engine mod was stage 2 cams.. but it had all other boltons and dyno tuning. all the parts where the most expensive name brands you can buy. it had slicks and skinnies. 4.10s and minor weight reduction.

The average person *which you sound like* that does an N/A build is going to come up somewhere JUST north of the 300rwhp mark.
You've mentioned Stage II heads and Cams (which obviously require a spring upgrade)
An intake manifold
headers/mid/catback
pulleys
plenum/throttle body *depends on the intake you buy*
Again, with what we consider full bolt ons +head/cam you're not going to be making a lot more than 300 hp to the wheels.
This kind of power with a great suspension set up, gears, and tires might be capable of mid 12's however, which is quite respectable for a N/A 2V4.6. However, you have to ask yourself if it's worth the huge money said mods are going to cost when you can just slap on a blower with supporting mods for slightly less money and run slightly faster times with 50-60 more hp.

Intake manifolds aren't really a big item on a 4.6... well they are a big dollar item but don't tend to be a big performer. Especially at your mod level. If you have an extreme set up and that's the last thing left... you'd probably see some gain, but still nothing shocking.
The new TFS are rumored to bring some hope to this 4.6 N/A game but as it stands now don't expect to see much more than 350rwhp. (and that's still a pretty solid 2v.)

Here is a automatic 96 GT with ported PI heads by yours truly, VT Stage 1 cams, stock plastic intake, and Hooker longtubes through an open converter:
A 5 speed car we think it would be a 300-305RWHP motor.
