Default Couple Questions

First, relates to Underdrive pullies:
i've been thinking about this upgrade, but saw that you cant really use them with a supercharger. what pullies comes with a typical kit? what is it "slowing down"? does it affect A/C cooling in any way?

2nd:
how do UDP's affect turbo applications? im guessing they would work just like they would on N/A cars?

3rd:
coilover setup -- im looking to upgrade my rear suspension (twisties/DD), im running QA1 front strut coilovers w/ 12x300lb springs right now up front, whats a good combo out back? i've heard 12x250 for springs, but i cant find a good shock (needs to be adjustable) and coilover combo? the best i've found so far is a QA1 setup with adjustable struts and springs for 599 @ UPR

UDP's use a smaller crank pulley so everything belt driven is slowed down.
Turbo systems aren't effected since they arent belt driven.

For coilover setups you might look around in here.http://forums.corner-carvers.com/

I know im not really answering your questions but I @ 1 time asked about the UD's because I was going to put them on but Im going with a s/c. But my question more or less was about how it affected your car preformance. The guys around here told me to save my money. Aint worth it. I wouldn't install it if you have aftermarket parts that would force the accessories roles to be more important, however, you may be utilizing more of that extra “buffer” than the manufacturer provides such as if your stang has high-powered aftermarket stereo equipment, which can tax the factory alternator or even require a higher-powered alternator. So it’s important to weigh your particular situation first.

skip it and apply the $ towards a blower or Turbo system.

The UDPs primarily underdrive the waterpump. I have steeda UDPs on my car and I haven't had an issue with them, I like them and I kept the same belt when I installed them. The crank pulley itself is a bit smaller, so it's underdriving the whole accessory drive, but the water pump replacement pulley is larger than the original which underdrives it further than if you had a stock sized one. I did the math on it when I put them on and if I'm remembering right, the water pump would turn 1200 revolutions for every 1000 of the engine's with the stock setup. With my steeda underdrive it's doing like 800 for every 1000 of the engine's now. The alternator takes a hit as well as the a/c and power steering but it's not noticeable at all for me.

The problem is, it's a small gain in HP for $200 - and going with cheaper ones that piggyback or something may bite you in the *** from what I've heard. And like the guys are saying, you'll at least CONSIDER supercharging in the future.. and WHEN you do you'll kick yourself for buying an intake and installing UDPs.

Edit: as always, if I've mixed something up, someone with more knowledge please chew me out

alright so that fixes the UDP issues, i'll be skippin it lol. so anyone know of a good rear coilover setup, i went to corner carvers, but i dont wanna sign up for another forum...

EDIT:
completely forgot about the MMR coilover, they say the accept the Koni Yellow (which are adjustable?) and the comp engineering 3 way adjustable. im thinkin the Koni's....

shocks (per pair) at jegs:
http://www.jegs.com/i/Koni/610/8041-1186SP/10002/-1#

paired with www.modularmustangracing.com 's kit for 269.99
that would be just over 500$ (not including shipping) not bad. 100$ cheaper than the QA1's.

i've asked Maximum Motorsports, they were helpful, but they charge like 330 per shock for ONE double adjustable... thats a little outragous, im thinkin single adjustable as long as it has a decent amount of adjustments will be plenty. they charge a lot for thier coilover kit too. if i went all MaxMotorsports i'd be look at like 900-1000$... just for a set of coilovers... when i could just peice together one from jegs and MMR thats prolly just as good...
