Default Burnt Oil Smell

So i was in an accident awhile back and had to have the car worked on... I've had it for a weeks and everything seemed fine... Tonight i was playing around with a ls1 and punched it and it smelled like burnt oil.. I popped the hood and didnt see any visible leaks.. Any ideas?

i go through oil pretty consistantly, i'd say maybe.. a quart a month per say. rough estimate. no visible leaks, only when i push it hard

I have the same problem, including on a start up when it has been sitting for a week or so. It doesn't blow blue smoke on a regular basis, but every once in a while I will see it, especially when I get on it. Im guessing I have a bad valve seat on one of my heads. the problem is I don't know how to narrow it down to now which head it is. Any ideas?
