Bullitt Intake Swap High Idle

Just finished a bullitt intake swap on my 96 gt. I also added a new cai, changed the injectors, and mass air. When i start the car it has a really high idle of around 3500. I checked the voltage on the tps and iac and they both seem to be fine. Also have checked for vacuum leaks and have had no luck there either. Would appreciate any advice.

Does it look like anyone turned the set screw that controls how far then throttle can close? Mine had been changed on an SVO intake I added to my ride. Mark

i did check the adjustment. It doesnt look like the screw has been messed with and it looks to me like the tb is closing all the way

disconnect the battery to reset the keep alive memory.

you should try double checking the butterfly valve for sure. i did that when i got a new manifold and it took me a while to finger it out

I have a 96-98 cobra throttle body on the car. I was told this TB will work but it seems like this is where the trouble is coming from

I also did a bullit swap on my 97' GT with the same results. Rpms would hang around 2500-3000 for about a minute and then it goes back down, but if you rev it the whole thing starts all over again. Its really a pain in the butt and I still haven't figure out what's wrong with it. I had my car tuned but the problem is still there, let me know if you're able to fix it. God luck

I would try cleaning the IAC valve. It way have got jamped up a bit one the swap. I used some carb cleaner on mine. It was doing the same thing as you said, staying up around 3K for a bit and then dropping back down.

Did you change the MAF to same type? other than that I guess a vacuum leak. Either a broke hose of a bad gasket. I would also use the old IAC.
