Default RE: Steeda Tri-ax

I don't know if anybody else has tried this but I've been running with my tiri-ax in unauthorized position for a long time. Instead of both bolts passing through both holes in the handle and shifter, I have my handle angled back towards the cupholders so the bottom bolt passes through just like normal but the top bolt only passes through the handle hole and binds against the shifter like a set-screw. This allows me to compensate for the lousy ford design of having the shifter way the heck up near the stereo. I have long arms but give me a break. Anyway, even when in 5th gear, I can reach the shifter with my elbo still on the console. It's nice. Try it. Just make sure the bolts are tight!!!!!!!!
