Default Just got my 02 gt want more low end power

I got an 02 Gt and its has some stuff on it already, really fun to drive, mint inside and out and runs great. But i got no low end power... you start to feel it pick up a lil ater 3500 rpms. Im thinking its because the massive 73mm T/b and not enought fuel.... Im planning on getting 373s and a diablo predator tuner i have heard good things about them but will that help my problem.. also i was watching a video about it and im pretty sure i only saw 91 or 93 octane gas.. in washington state we only got 92?

Being that our cars have a relativley small displacement, and are an overhead cam deseign, they simply won't make great low end power. Gears and extra hp will help you get into the powerband faster, but aside from nitrous or a blower (or a different motor) there's not much you can do.

I could be wrong, but I believe longtubes will give you a bit more low end grunt, but like stated, these cars love to pull up top.

holy sh*t...ok. Your "massive" 73 mm TB isnt casuing you any issues, I have a 75mm, and bbk is now selling a 78mm unit. Why do you have "PI intake manifold" listed in your mods? You already have a PI motor stock....

Now, if you really want low end power, just bolt on a KB twinscrew and call it a day. There is nothing as cost effective in the bang for the buck department as a blower, and twinscrew's are the most effective ones for the bottom end of the rpm range. Long tubes will add torque, but if you dont install them your self, thats anywhere from 1000$ on up depending on what brand and the install price. Not worth the money unless you are boosting the motor already and doing the work yourself. So basically, get a twinscrew.

As far as gears, dont waste your time with 3.73's, get the 4.10s, you wont regret it.
As far as tuner, get sniper, tune it yourself. Same price.
