Fair enough - I wasn't trying to be a ball buster. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing someting.

So, just out of curiosity, how much woulld it cost to rebuild the bttome end of a 4.6 for 14 psi? Also, if i run 10 pounds like u guys said, will it survive driving it pretty hard for awhile? Also, what is the rpm range of the 4.6 with the kb super?

few grand to rebuild the bottom end. don't know, you'd have to call a local place, unless you were doing it yourself. probably well over $3000 for everything installed.

i'm running 10psi on my stock motor and not having any problems. i was driving it pretty hard for awhile, but lately i've calmed down a bunch. what do you mean by the rpm range for a kb?

I don't know about you guys, but i shift about 200 rpm's before redline when racing. I think that is where your peak horsepower is.

you and i have different heads, which accounts for a lot of peak power differences, but i tend to shift even earlier than that, probably 4-500 r's before redline, my car seems like a slug above that

am i doing something wrong or is that normal for us non PI guys?

So running 10 psi, what kind of gas mileage are you having? I was also considering just giving it a 100 shot of nitrous, and just upgrading the headers, intake, throttle body, etc. How would the power be in comparison to the 10 psi KB?

No ahollings, our cars just suck! after 5,000 they fall flat on their face. I have an auto with shift points at 5,500 and it sucked until I got headers, which helped out a little bit. I plan on swapping to SVO heads that I have sitting next to me. They are begging me, "Put us on your car, and rev the **** out of us!" I have PI cams to go with them. I can't wait.
