Default Odd starting issue

Hello all,

I've had my 2002 Gt for two years now with no issues at all and recently I've been experiencing an odd starting issue. 60,000 miles on my car.

Note: Once it starts there is no issue at all and runs as strong as ever.

About 75% of the time now when I start (cold or hot) it will crank sputter, die and not start. Then when I try again it usually starts the second time.

The odd thing is the instruments will peg to the right, then go back to the left and it takes a second for the instruments to read normal even after it starts.

It seems like an electrical problem. Any ideas?

Thanks

Frank

That's what my gauges do when I unplug the battery. It's the car's way of recalibrating itself. Maybe you have a wire loose somewhere?

The sweeping of the gauges is usually a sign that the battery is on it's last leg. I would have that tested and replaced before you get stranded somewhere.
