hahaha my friend just got a 97 cobra and didnt know how to drive a stick. Well all day he was ******* it and he was on the highway and isntead of putting it in 5th gear he shot it in reverse. I never laughed so hard lol.

How the hell can you put it into reverse while driving? Doesnt it grind really bad? You would have to freakin has some tight syncros and hold that clutch down for a while for the gears to slow down enough and even then it wouldnt be enough.

My 5spd has a reverse lock-out (Or so it seams) and after 25-30mph I can get it into 1st no matter what. But things happen ya know? Anything can happen if you can think it or dread it LOL.

Good luck with your trannies guys, if you happen to have problems then its just better to buy one new. Hell a TKO-600 is only like $1400 now if you shop around.

when i first got mine i tried to downshift to 4th and instead ended up trying to put it in reverse. it grinded real loud, never got it in thank god. but wierd thing is just today i i was getting on insterstate and and instead of shifting to 4th i shifted into 2nd, i pulled it out before i let off the clutch though. i wasn't paying attention, but it slid right in, it has never slid in so smoothly.
