Anybody in here in the Reno, NV area and could direct me to a place that won't try to jack up the cost of gear installs? I've had the 4.10s sitting in a locker for bout 6 months... I was considering installing them myself but, i'm not that savvy. Thanks.

If you are having gears put in your car make sure you take it to a professional. In other words someone who has installed them numerous times. TAKE IT TO A SPEED SHOP!

ORIGINAL: 98bluecobra

i have a stock 98 cobra and am hearing that i should change the gears to add power?? any ideas??
I had a 98 Cobra all stock except I put in 4.10 gears...AWESOME fun, but gears don't add power they add mechanical advantage. Still it makes for a better launch, great seat-of-the-pants feel and FUN!
