Default gear whine

Hey I posted a few weeks ago about a mysterious whine well it seems like its been getting louder and its defiantly coming from the rear end.

When I blew my motor I had the rear end readjusted. The guy told me it would probably whine a little bit and it did and it was tolerable but now its pretty loud. What could cause the whine to get louder?

It sort of sounds like this but is consistent even when I let off the gas or take it out of gear the whine is still there until complete deceleration. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mPGniqtP2d4

I guess there was more back lash then the spec was supposed to be and he brought them up a bit to spec. It has been fine for the past month or so there was almost no noise what so ever, now out of no where they are just really loud , are the gears toast?

Once gears make noise, they cant be adjusted quiet. Your goin to need to live with it or replace them

I don't mean to go a bit off topic but speaking of leaks...

I once had 3.73's in my stock rear and I blew my rear a few months ago. I then upgraded with a new diff, axles, 4.10's, and a complete rear end seal/bearing kit. It use to be that the bottom of my pumpkin and surrounding area was slightly dark in the color, like it was lined in some old oil.

Now after a few months with my rear end upgrade, when I look under my car, there seems to be more darker spots and after some really long trips, I am able to wipe off a really little bit of oil from the bottom of the diff housing where the pumpkin meets the cover.

Is this normal at all? or should I get it checked out asap by the shop?

Thanks

Well a leaking rear can cause gear whine, because no fluid = overheating and abnormal wear on components. If the rear is, in fact, leaking..then it could be the culprit of your problem. But it could also be residual from the previous repairs.
