Default Jerking Bullitt

At WOT when I shift from 1st to 2nd @5500 rpm the car will buck forward like it has lost all power for a second the resumes acceleration. During that second, the tach and speedo fall almost to zero..... I have checked the other forums and the only reply I have so far is to check for loose grounds and a possible 12v drop to the pcm. The car is a 01 Bullitt all stock, w/ 22K. Any known fixes out there?

Thanks,
Bob

Sounds like an open spot in the throttle position sensor. Plug in a scanner or tuner and do some data logging.

Plug in a scanner or tuner? Do you mean have it scanned at a Ford service department or is a scanner/tuner something I can buy and test myself?

Like something that you could monitor throttle position voltage, and other such datum. They are expensive, most shops have a handheld scanner that they can read O2 sensor voltage, and everything else. I know Snap-On makes one because that is what my dad has. Dyagnostic also has a handheld scanner. My guess would be to find an honest shop, or take it to the dealer (if you have money).
