advanced auto, wal mart, they all have them and they are pretty cheap. $15-50 I would assume.

i just charged mine last week when it was 110F out. the low pressure port is on the passenger side near the fire wall and is the smaller of the two schraeder valve ports. the high pressure side is on the passenger side by the front of the car and is the bigger schraeder valve port. i bought hoses, gauges, and r-134a at knechts autoparts for $40 ish bucks and recharged my system. i dont know about other peoples posts but from my experience with a/c its that the low pressure side should be around 50psi and the high pressure side should be around 320psi. i have my cars setup that way and so do people i know. blows ice cold without problems and on a system that needs recharging, you might go through 2-3 cans of refrigerant before you blow ice cold air

Exclamation NO!

Do not go to the store and buy freon! If its not blowing cold, there is a leak! Your A/C system is closed. Therefore, if you charge your freon, it will leak back out. Dont waste the money, run a dye test and see what you need to replace or repair!

Wow, how incredibly un-true. I'm sure you feel all high and mighty needing to put that your a Hyundai service advisor in your sig, so you obviously know what's up, right?

Well, I've worked on hundreds of cars that just needed a re-charge. Mine included. My 99 Blazer didn't have cold A/C when I first got it. I brought it in during my lunch, recovered what was in there, pulled a vacuum, and recharged. It's been blowing cold for months now.

You sound like a typical dealership service advisor trying to bump up your commission by telling people they need to fix things that aren't broken.
