Not trying to step on toes here but I agree with GTracer

Usually manual 99-04 cars make something like 430 rwhp on 8 psi with a turbo kit...he is auto so probably will see something like 400 rwhp with 8 psi.

But as far as the stock internals go,

I have seen a lot of people push them from 450 rwhp all the way to 530 rwhp, they will eventually go, but so will running at 400 rwhp.

I believe the efficiency part of it does make a differance.

It definately seems like cars running blower cams and head making 450 rwhp on like 8 psi last longer and overall is safer than a stock car that has to run like 14 psi to get there.

And also the 05+ cars and 4v cars have the same internals yet seem to hold up fine...why?

Because they flow better so it doesnt take as much boost to make the same power.

Im not gonna sit here and say I know for sure but I feel like the same car making 450 rwhp on 8 psi with blower cams and heads will last a lot longer than a stock car running 15 psi to get 450 rwhp.

Am I wrong to assume that?

the hellion kit will work great with auto. on 9psi im making about 450whp. Its enough to break the stock engine imo. youll be putting out over 500wtq. not to say people havent done fine on stock internals, but they are detuned cars. to get full potential out of the kit you need forged internals

As far as I know, the 05+ and 4vs both have different internals from eachother, and both are different from ours. The connecting rods were different, I will look into and see what I can find. If anyone has a factory component list for each car or knows where to find one that would be great.

4-8lbs will make 400rwhp on a turbo car, depending upon what your running. IMO a turbo is not a supercharger... dont go over 375rwhp and have as conservative a tune as possible

Ask any good professional builder/tuner and see what they have to say on this subject. No matter what method of induction you choose to attempt, the stock bottom end, especially the pistons and the rods, were not meant to take over 400RW. Sure, plenty of people do it, but your on borrowed time. The tune, how hard you drive it, and possibly the type of induction are going to be determining factors on how long the clock runs on your time bomb, but going turbo over a blower isn't going to make that engine any less of a catastrophe waiting to happen at that level of power.

power is power, that rating alone tells the stresses that the motor is going through at a minimum, but rpm kills rods generally. The end all be all is that the motor is not meant to hold alot of power so get over it.

Holy sh!tballz we got some good arguments going on here! Let me help shed some light on this. I have a 2001 GT with the Hellion single turbo kit and the 4R70W automatic transmission with a PI Stallion 3200 rpm stall converter. I'm not going to sit here and argue about the difference between supercharger/turbocharger. I'm just gonna throw some CONFIRMED numbers out there. My car, on a Mustang dyno, put down 373 rwhp/410 rwtq at six pounds of boost. No arguing, no speculation, just the facts. I GUARANTEE that if I ran 8 pounds of boost I would be over 400 rwhp, plain and simple. Hope this helps

+1 its a time bomb much beyond 400 rwhp... and now several people including myself who pushed 400 rwhp capabilities and blow motor in the end. Remember when you start modding anything can happen/break.
