i used the timesert.

the one that came with 3 inserts, i just threaded the sparkplug into the insert to see which one covered all the sparkplug threads n used that one.

well i got it towed home and i tried a different spark plug and it screwed right in, the old one wouldn't even start to screw in. after looking at the spark plug threads they are pretty chewed up . i wonder if he didn't tighten it down enough and it backed it self out?

Dont run the car with the other spark plug in. Sure it sill screw it but I bet you this one blows out as well. The chances of the plug unscrewing itself with the COP bolt down on top of it are slim and none. Dont risk ruining the threads any more than they already are. Have a Timesert installed

if the threads are already ****ed up, then its not going to hurt it any more....worst case scenario is the plug blows out again, then he can fix it

OP, i used a helicoil on mine and it held fine and i raped this car when it had a 2v in it.... also, if you dont have AAA, dont spend money on a tow...i wouldnt go across the country on 7 cylinders, but i drove mine home when i blew my plug out and it was fine...ran like **** and made a horrible popping sound, but it made it home fine

He already said the car was home... And if you want to tell him how to ruin his head for good, then by all means drive around with the new plug in the hole.. Im done here
