Default bottoming out under hard cornering...help

Suspension mods:

maximum motorsports camber/caster plates

maximum motorsports subframe connectors

H&R super sport springs

5 way adjustable tokico shocks

When I corner hard and hit ANY sort of dip/divot/pot hole/ect there is terrible 'BAM' which sounds like the chassis hitting the ground....yet when I look under the car, the welded in subframe connectors are totally untouched...

Could it be that the shocks are bottoming out? I mean, the noise is pretty intense and it definitely feels like it is bottoming out.... Am i missing something? In any other performance car I've ever had, lowered or not, I have never had an issue like this...it seems there is something not setup correctly...

Any thoughts?

When you did the rear springs, did you use the pinion snubber H&R provided?

"When you did the rear springs, did you use the pinion snubber H&R provided? "

Well I didn't do the springs...so I'm not sure. But regardless the sound is definitely coming from something up front...

"Tire Rub? "

I'm gonna say no on this because of the severity of the sound...it sounds like the front wheel is basically being ripped off the spindle...it is very abrupt, harsh, and nasty...tire rub, IMO, would be more progressive.

"could be the A-arms hitting maybe "

Humm...Upper A-arms or Lower? That might be a stupid question, but i'm not well versed with the mustang suspension layout yet....if it were upper, how could i check?

Thanks for the help guys!

The front mustang suspension has one A (per side) and it is at the base of the strut. I would jack the front end up and remove your two front wheels.

From that point you can inspect most aspects of the front suspension and move foward from there. I would also grap and shake components.....if anything is loose there could be your problem.

My ball joints are going bad because i have a strange clunking noise as well but i will be addressing it shoutly (steeda X2's, bumbsteer, k member, coilovers) Woot!

GOODLUCK!!!!
