po171--174 vacum leak?
DTC popped a po174-171 [too lean] I called BAMACHIPS on another issue [bogs in torque mode]..and mentioned this to him. He said a common reason for a po174 is a vacum leak and suggested peaking at the hose from the valve body to the intake...
I dont have a vac hose from there to there! I must of misunderstood but its so doggone hard to reach them I'm asking anyone here for thier opinion...
Aloha, Gil
p.s. My car has only 20k so I dought I'm rotting hoses already....your the experts...

I had this problem with my JLT intake. I didnt tighten it down well and it was sucking in unmetered air. So check your intake if need be reinstall it and make it right. Slight little air leak after MAF could set of those codes that you have.

thanks guys for your time,... I'll check it all all out...
I hope this could also be part of the bog issue....I suspect you may have something there Silvrstang, I've broken/stripped so many fastners thinking tighter is better that I'm overly causous sometimes, especialy with a $300 piece of plastic with a sock at the end !... what is up with the price of those anyways?
