setting up an autometer wideband
you can adjust the range of what the gauge will read, its like 10.0-25.0 or something.
what should i have the range set to?
whats the purpose of this?
also,
whats a good AFR range to be in?

Can you really adjust the range? Huh. I would just set it as wide as it would go, with an emphasis on the rich side of the gauge.
I have no idea what the purpose is other than the gauge can be more specific around a certain area. Mine goes between 9.2 to 22.4, and I've never had a problem with it.
At idle, you want your AF to be at 14.7. However, your car's computer controls the mixture and will keep it at this level unless something goes horribly wrong.
At WOT, you'll want it to be at about 12.5:1 if you're naturally aspirated, and about 11.4:1 if you have a supercharger. You can go a bit richer if you want some extra security. However, you DO NOT want to go leaner.

yes you can adjust it, i dunno if im just not understanding the instructions fully or what. it says its for fine tuning, but i have no idea..... if i change the ranges, i dunno how that will affect what its telling me.
it idles around 14.7 and it will vary from 13.0 to 15.5 on a pull
