Is it a myth?
Just bought a ram air intake from jlt instead of the fenderwell cool air intake because my tuner told me that they have more problems with those twisted tube ones than the straight ram air intakes. My kenne bell supercharger recommends to never run a ram air style and only run fenderwell mounted. What is up? Who is right? I know the guy doing my tune has been doing mustangs for 15 years and he is highly recommended so thats why I am driving 2 hours to get this done

Too much talk.
Yes, the bend will cause some issues if it's too close to your MAF.
Yes, the ram air under-hood will suck in hot air that's been through the radiator.
I'm using a BBK CAI (3.5") with my supercharged setup, it's got a bend about 6" before the MAF and I'm running blow-thru with NO issues with the MAF. Going from the fender is the way to go. Just be sure your splash guard is in tact so it keeps water away from the entrance of the CAI. I accidently hit a few LARGE puddles on the passenger side over the years (horrible roads around here) with that BBK CAI and the filter never got wet. You'll only have problems if your splash guard is shot.
