Default HELP! Cannot Attach Heater Core Hoses...

I did an engine swap and am down to the last couple of steps. I cannot get my heater core hoses to attach at the firewall. I tried forcing them on, but they just won't go. What's the deal...

I've attached an image below and highlighted the area in red...

Are the white clips still on the heater core nipples? If they are take them out and put them in the hose first then slide it on

This is all I have... (see photo below). No clips on the nipples or in the hose. I swapped a 01 Bullitt motor into my V6.

Can anyone snap a closeup of theirs?

There should be 2 white clips that fit into the hose end. Part of it fits into the square openings. You might have to go buy 2 if they are nowhere to be found along with the o-rings that go inside

Off subject a little bit, but that looks like a cobra motor not a bullitt motor..Very clean looking install though btw...

Yeah, that is a Cobra motor in the pic. It was the best one that I could find online to give you guys an idea of what I was talking about. I'll post pics when I wrap everything up.

Prometheus, That's exactly what I was missing. Thanks!

Throw the stock ones away and just use 5/8 heater hose and clamp them on. Not that hard.

I would think that because that are flanged and tapered that they would require the clip as well as the correct hosing as it is shaped to fit the nipple exactly.
