Default sct issues

So today i thought i would mess around with the sct x3.

And what i came up with is that when i set the neutral rev limiter its also the same as if i was moving so if its a 3k when sitting still it's still gonna be the same when i am in gear ans driving.

Anybody else have this problem?

Yes I have seen it happen, almost always with newer manual cars. Are you trying to use the rev limiter in neutral as a 2 step?

Yes the neutral is used as a 2 step with the 5 speed cars. I have it set up on mine at 5500 and it works great! I didnt set it up though, Brent at Brenspeed set it. If I remember right he had to change another setting somewhere for it to work. Give him a call he can help ya out im sure.

There's more to it than just the neutral rev-limiter, here's what needs to be done altogether. I don't know if the SCT3 will give you access to all the scalars that need to be changed...

Apparently the X3 "neutral re-limiter" is supposed to set 2-step limiting--it sounds to me as though the X3's tune generator has a bug and is not changing all that needs to be changed. You should contact SCT...

"Set MPH/Disable Neutral Rev Limiter to 0.5 (mph);" Thats what had to be done to get the 2 step to work however you cant do it with the X# unless you have the tuning program itsself

I got my SCT tuner today from American Muscle and got the same problem. I drive 2000 GT.

Did you guys have to ship it back to tuning company or they just e-mailed you new tunes?
